Perfect Brides Makeup

modestweddingdress 300x197 Perfect Brides Makeup Eyes, lips and skin are the three defining areas for a brides makeup. Skin needs to be flawless, lips soft and full and eyes bright and defined. There are fool-proof makeup artist secrets that help to achieve this, no matter what bridal style you are going for.

Skin

Flawless foundation is the base to any brides makeup, and can make or break the bridal look. Even coverage, seamless blending and the right amount of contouring and highlights are the things every makeup artist hopes to get right for a brides makeup.

Contouring and highlighting are essential for bridal looks because of the photographs. Photos tend to wash face out, and make them look dimensionless, so adding contouring to the face makes the brides makeup stand out, her face have dimension and not washed out. The essential areas for contouring are under the cheek bones, the sides of the temple (this also thins the face) the jaw line and the sides of the nose. Highlights go down the center of the nose and on the upper side of the cheekbones, blending with the blusher.

The problem with contouring and highlighting is that it can sometimes look a bit patchy in real life, and no bride wants to look like a blotchy mess in real life, even if it does look good in the pictures. A key to overcoming this is to change the application methods. Airbrushing is probably the best thing to happen to brides makeup since fake eyelashes! Airbrushed foundation, contours and highlights blend seamlessly with one another, and create a really flawless look. Because of this airbrush brides makeup is becoming more and more popular.

Eyes

Eyes are the most variable areas for brides makeup. For sub continental and Arab brides, eyes tend to be colorful, dramatic and very heavily lined. Western style brides, and to a certain extent many East Asian brides follow a more muted color scheme (grays, taupes, light pinks and browns) with less liner and usually less dramatic application. Whichever brides makeup you are going for, there are three areas of the eye that must have highlights on them: the inner corner, the middle upper lid and under the eyebrow arch. These three places catch the light and give the illusion of bigger, brighter eye-and importantly they give light and dimension to the eyes in photography. A pearly white or cream color is good for this.

Lips

The secret to pout-perfect brides makeup is both a highlight and a contour. To give the illusion of a fuller lip, shade the corners of the lip a darker shade than the rest of the lip-nothing dramatically darker, but just enough to give it depth. Then press a highlight eye shadow-the same pearl as the eyes-into the center of the lips. This won’t give a color, but it will reflect light, and make it look like the most kissable, perfect lips.

Good Skin Care is Important

CB049385Good skin care is essential to graceful aging. Babies have smooth, soft skin that is wrinkle free and moist. Over time harsh elements in the environment wear on the skin making is dryer and tougher. With age comes wrinkles and sagging in the skin. Good skin care can slow down the harmful effects of time and the environment.

Before good skin care can be attempted, it is important to have a thorough understanding of how the skin operates. Skin consists of three layers. The inner most layer is the subcutaneous tissue. The tissue in the subcutaneous layer contains fat cells, which insulate the body. The middle layer is the dermis. The dermis contains the connective tissues. The outermost layer of skin is called the epidermis. The purpose of the epidermis is to protect the inner skin from environmental contaminants. Cells in the epidermis continuously travel from the inner most part of the epidermis to the surface, flaking off once they reach the top. The cells in the epidermis become thinner over time. Less collagen is produced causing skin to lose its elasticity. This causes the skin to sag and wrinkle. The number of sweat glands also decrease over time leading to dryer skin. As people age, cells in the subcutaneous layer become smaller also contributing to the sagging and wrinkling. UVA and UVB radiation from sunlight thin the epidermis even more. They also contribute to a faster breakdown of collagen in the dermis.

Good skin care requires cleansing and moisturizing. Cleansing is essential to remove dirt and dead skin cells. It helps to prevent pimples or acne. Cleansing, however, can dry out the skin. Cleansing removes the oil on the skin, which retains moisture. As a result moisturizers are needed to restore water to the skin and protect the skin. Special liquid cleaners are recommended over using traditional bar soap. Liquid cleansers can be made with moisturizer to combat the drying agents in the cleansers. The type of cleaner chosen depends on the skin type of the person using it. Vitamin E is often included in good skin care products as it helps moisturize the skin. It also maintains elasticity. The type of moisturizer used is important as well. A heavier moisturizer should be used at night while a thinner, lighter moisturizer is recommended for daytime use.

Good skin care requires a lot of effort. A regime of cleaning and moisturizing should be followed everyday in order to be effective. Avoiding exposure to the sun and tanning is ideal to prevent the harmful effects of radiation. Application of sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 15 is helpful as well. Smoking should be avoided. A healthy diet is beneficial in improving the elasticity of the skin. Drinking water is essential to good skin care. Water helps the body function better. It also cleans the pores from the inside. It re-hydrates the skin, which helps the skin stay moist. Keeping good habits in addition to good skin care will help the skin age gracefully and beautifully.

Most Invaluable Makeup Tips

_monalisa_g_277789tThrough some years of practice, doing my own makeup and others’ makeup, I have learnt so much through trial and error. I am also really passionate about makeup and so I have read and tested a lot of advice given in magazines, books and on the internet to see if it works or not. So, to help you with your makeup skills and to save you the trouble of all the research I have done, I am going to share with you some of my most invaluable makeup tips that will definitely help you with doing your own makeup and achieving the gorgeous and flawless results that you want.

* Use a magnifying mirror when applying make-up as it will help you to achieve a flawless, natural application. Remember, if you can get your make-up to look good close up, it will look perfect in normal viewing.

* Place your magnifying mirror horizontally and, keeping your chin parallel to the horizontally positioned mirror, look down onto it when applying mascara. This little trick will help make it easier for you to lift and curl your lashes whilst applying your mascara and you will also be able to easily see and remove any clumps before they set.

* Always apply mascara on top of your lashes, not just underneath them. This should be done before applying the mascara underneath (as applying on top after you have done underneath will just flatten your lashes that you want to lift). Use your magnifying mirror in a vertical position, looking straight on to it, when applying mascara on top of your lashes.

* Apply your makeup in a room where there is a lot of natural day light (like having your mirror in front of a window so that the natural daylight faces onto your face whilst you are applying your makeup). If your makeup looks good in natural day light, it will look good in any light!

* When choosing a foundation, ask for a sample so you can try it out in natural day light. You will not be able to get a true match with the artificial lighting they have in the shops! Apply a stripe from below your eye down to your jaw (end just before going onto your neck). If the stripe “disappears” on your skin, i.e. it is the same color or almost identical to your skin, then congrats, you have found a perfect match!

The Truth About Makeup and Acne

May 2, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

acne2 300x297 The Truth About Makeup and Acne Most people do not realize it but the way that you apply your makeup and the type that you use can actually increase acne on your face and skin. This is caused by the makeup because it actually has ingredients that can clog your skin and it results in those nasty bumps that you try so hard to get rid of.

Have you ever tried to hide acne with makeup? Most of us have done that in the past. However, it is really important to realize that this just ends up making things worse. Now, you may be wondering what you can do to help decrease acne from developing on your face when you wear your makeup. The following information will help you improve your makeup applying techniques and it will help you improve your skin so that you will always be looking your best.

Start by purchasing makeup that is called non-comedogenic. This means that they will not irritate your skin and they will not clog your pores so your skin will be staying healthier and cleaner while you are wearing it. Once you have found the right makeup you will want to be sure that you are not purchasing oils and lotions that clog the skin as well. Most women will apply a lotion or oil to their skin before they apply their makeup. When you do this you are just adding to the problem. Try using oils and lotions such as mineral and sunflower oil because these do not get stuck deep in your pores.

The next step is to pay close attention to any of the things that you apply to your body everyday that may have perfume in them. Sometimes perfumes and certain scents can really irritate your skin. So, if you notice that you are breaking out in a certain location you should think about what you are applying there. You may need to change the scent or use something that is odor free. This can apply to deodorants or laundry soap as well.

Always look at the ingredients found in all of the makeup that you buy. You want to use makeup that is produced from natural herbs as much as possible. This will really decrease any acne that you get because the natural ingredients are less likely to cause skin irritation and clogged pores. You can do the same for lipsticks that you use as well. Think about the fact that the shiner the lipstick is the more oil it has in it. Therefore, you always want to try something that is a little duller in order to protect your lips and the skin around them.

It is not difficult to decrease the amount of acne on your face and other body areas as long as you are willing to pay close attention to what you are buying. Many products are moving towards natural ingredients and that is what you should begin looking for. You will see a decrease in acne and in increase in beauty when you pay attention to what you are using and you fully understand how it affects your skin.

MAC Cosmetics Wholesale ?!

May 2, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

mac cosmetics logo 1 300x300 MAC Cosmetics Wholesale ?!Let’s face it, reputable MAC cosmetics wholesale suppliers are few and far between. Finding authentic MAC wholesale makeup is the holy grail for all high end cosmetics sellers. There are a lot of sites selling fake MAC cosmetics that you need to beware of.

Anyway, here is the lowdown…

Only MAC sells MAC products. Luckily, with any brand there is always some overrun/discontinued/shelf pull stock that ends up on eBay or other discounted websites. Because MAC is so popular, there is even less of this type of stock to go around. Have you ever seen a sale on at your local MAC counter? Wow, never? See – that is exactly my point!

MAC also often have special edition product lines that are only available for a short amount of time. Discontinued items that end up being made available on the cosmetics wholesale market, have a rarity value that increases their value sometimes way above the original selling price. Super low cost + high demand and low supply = super high profits. That is why any cosmetics business owner worth their salt wants to get hold of authentic MAC wholesale makeup at any cost.

A final point to mention is that wholesale makeup suppliers offer new stock to their best customers first. That makes it even harder for newbies to get started. So always build a good relationship with your supplier. Small but regular orders are a good way to build up your profits and reinvest in your business, while at the same time showing suppliers that you are a reliable customer with staying power.

Mineral makeup is mostly made up of natural minerals. It does not contain any chemicals, additives, animal byproducts, talc, oil, synthetic fragrances, and other manufactured skin irritants. Mineral makeup is made by pulverizing sterilized minerals into a fine powder that is mixed with natural pigments to produce various shades.

Synthetic ingredients have a negative impact on the skin causing such problems as acne, blackheads, clogged pores, skin irritations, and dry skin. The Basics of Skin Care

May 2, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

happiness imageEverybody wants to have beautiful, healthy and younger-looking skin. And who wouldn’t? In this society where appearances are valued significantly, having a radiantly glowing skin can already be considered a great treasure! Here’s a bit of good news – do you know that keeping a more youthful looking skin can be achieved just by observing 3 basic principles? Yes, a more beautiful skin can be within your reach and what’s more – caring for it can be as easy as A-B-C!

The 3 Basic Principles in Skin Care – There are 3 basic principles in skin care – cleansing, toning and moisturizing.

Cleansing – Cleansing can be viewed as the foundation of good skin care. It helps keep your skin healthy by removing dead skin, dust, dirt and other environmental pollutants, which may have accumulated during the day. It also helps keep the pores of your skin free from any impediment that may otherwise prevent the natural secretions of your oil glands from reaching the topmost layer of your skin. These secretions are extremely vital to skin care – they help fight infections and other toxic agents that may come in contact with your skin and provide that natural glow to your skin.

Using soap for cleansing your skin is a definite no-no. Most soaps have a high pH that can damage the natural acid mantle of your skin and may eventually lead to premature skin drying and aging. So, go for skin cleansers that contain vegetable oils and stearic acid instead. These are mild enough to be used safely on any skin type.

Using facial scrubs can also be a great help in cleansing the skin but its use must be limited to 3 times a week. For best results, choose a scrub that contains a mild abrasive.

Toning – While cleansing may help keep the skin healthy by stripping away dirt, dust, grime and dead skin cells, it may also invariably strip off the skin’s protective layer in the process. This is where toning comes into the picture. After thorough cleansing, you must apply a skin toner to close the pores of your skin, tighten it and protect it from the toxins present in the environment.

There is a wide variety of toners available in the market today. However, it would be wise to avoid those that are alcohol-based since they can damage the soluble collagen below the skin’s surface that may eventually lead to the premature drying of your skin.

Moisturizing – Ever wondered what the secret of dewy-fresh skin might be? It’s water! Water moves through the body and when it leaves, it does so through the surface of your skin. This process leaves your skin looking plump and firm.

However, when your body is deficient in water, the skin’s surface eventually shows the problem. It becomes dry, chapped and weak. As such, it is important to keep our bodies sufficiently hydrated at all times. This is a basic premise for good skin care. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water and eating a lot of moisture-rich fruits and vegetables may help provide your body with enough moisture to keep your skin looking good.

Then again, this may not be enough. Your skin also needs to be moisturized from the outside. This is the reason why the use of moisturizers and humectants is recommended. Like any other skin care products, there are a wide variety of moisturizers available and you are free to choose the product that agrees most with your skin.

A word of caution – avoid moisturizers and any other skin care products that contain mineral oil. Mineral oil may do more harm than good since it can dry the skin by blocking your skin pores, hence making it difficult for your skin to breathe and eliminate wastes.

stone sculpture face wrinkles_sxc_nrWhen you are choosing an anti aging product or anti aging cream, all the choices available can be overwhelming. It seems that everyone has a product out and they all claim that it is the best. So, how do you weed out the false claims and empty promises from the stuff that actually works? It takes a little footwork on your part, but with some good research you can find the best anti-aging cream by knowing what makes a cream the “best.”

(1) It’s the best because people are saying good things about it

Find out what real people are saying, not some marketer who was paid to write a bogus story about how a wrinkle cream changed their life. The best anti aging products tend to have the best consumer reviews. Read product review message boards and sites like epinions.com to see what real people are saying about the product. Most of these people will not tout a product’s effectiveness just because of a brand or hefty price tag. They will say it is the best anti-aging cream / serum because it works for them and the products effective is why it is the best.

(2) It’s the best because it works

The best antiaging cream will actually work. There will be proven results and it will have long term results. There will be research to support these claims and clinical trials to back it up.

(3) It’s the best because it has high quality ingredients

High quality ingredients are vital to a good anti aging product. Read the active ingredients panel. It should have at least one of the top, recommended ingredients for anti-aging products such as coenzyme Q10, Retinol or hydroxy acids.

(4) It’s the best because the company behind it has a good reputation

A product backed by a company with a good reputation benefits you, the consumer, in several ways. For one, it ensures that the product you are getting is top notch, mainly because the company’s good reputation is riding on it. Second, a good company is not going to put out a substandard product intentionally. You also know that a good company is more apt to thoroughly review and test their product before putting it out on the shelves.

(5) It’s the best because it has few or no side effects

Side effects can be very bad in some products. An anti aging cream with few or no side effects is very desirable. You can skip the skin irritation or rash or burning and just have smooth, wrinkle free skin.

(6) It’s the best because it is a great value

Does the product work and do you get enough benefits for the price that you pay? Value is a critical part of determining the best anti-aging cream. Do you get the most that you can for your money? That is the critical question.

There are so many anti aging creams & products on the market choosing one can be a daunting task. Once you have an understanding, though, of what makes a cream the best, you can begin to eliminate unworthy competitors. Sure, you want the wrinkles to diminish, but you also want to keep your skin healthy and irritation free. This means that you must take great care with what you put on your skin. So take the time and do your homework. Don’t just run out and buy the first cool product that you see on television. Research and read to find the best anti-aging cream and the best one for you
