Good information about acne is now easily available. People now believe that they can treat the skin inflammatory disorder with the right acne treatment. There are such an abundance of products in the market for acne treatment, many of them without having any effect to the acne. In short, any successful treatment of acne takes a minimum of 2 weeks to actually start effecting. Many promising treatments which claim to cure acne overnight or within three days are largely disappointing. Though, quick results can be obtained by application of cortisone, but these short bursts may not necessarily remove all the active spots.

Killing P. Acnes (Propionibacterium acnes, an anaerobic bacterium that can cause acne)

Preventing blockage by normalizing shredding into the pore.

Treatments based on anti-inflammatory effects.

Treatments based on Hormonal Manipulation.

It’s always better to use a combination of treatments to obtain the best results. Most effective treatments may have large side effects so precautions should be taken and a step-by-step procedure should be followed. For best results, combination of the treatments should be done after consulting a doctor or dermatologist and should be monitored by them on a regular basis.
